The mission of Mountain WILD! is to preserve and increase wildlife and wildlife habitat of the western North Carolina mountains through stewardship, education, conservation and restoration of natural resources.

Mountain WILD! is connected throughout the world to other wildlife supporters.  We are a local chapter of the North Carolina Wildlife Federation, a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 corporation.   The state federation and National Wildlife Federation are our big sisters.  They help lobby for wildlife, bring attention to issues of importance and promote the wellbeing of all species.  We are happy to be part of such a big, caring family.

Local involvement in the welfare of wildlife and wildlife habitat is our reason for being.  We are involved in helping wildlife by volunteering, educating our youth and aligning our energy with others working to make a difference in our local community.
